I seriously had the best 2007!!!!!!!!!. I met some fanastic families and spent time with some of the most amazing children ever. You guys were great! I am so thankful for the wonderful people I met and the gorgeous children that I had the pleasure to work with. As a little thank you, I have decided to run a competition......

Let me first say, WOW, WOW, WOW..... this was just sooo tough. I started trying to pick my favourites and ended up with waaay too many to choose from. So I came up with this plan, it's not very scientific, but it's a plan none the less. I picked my favourite image from each session in 2007, popped them all in a box and asked my husband to draw out 15. We couldn't really go wrong. I ran a similar contest last year and everyone had a lot of fun with it so I hope this year is the same. Now for the prizes:-

My Clever Lil Man

Kim and I had both decided to try and toilet train our kids while we were away for 2 weeks. Alex just turned 2 in December so I wasn't really too hopeful considering Jack was 2yrs 8 mths when he was trained. Anyway, Mia, my niece has been using the toilet on & off for the last month so we though what better way than to try them together and try and make it fun for them. And let's face it, I am never home for more than a day at a time to give it a good go. So I am so proud to say that my clever little boy only took a few days and he was all done! We have had few accidents since then as would be expected but overall he is done!! We are very proud of him, not to mention happy to not be changing any more nappies! lol

We finally got to do this session after having to re-schedule I think 4 times due to rain! Little Miss A is so gorgeous and mum was fantastic and bought along some gorgeous outfits for her to wear. Here are a few images for your preview guys, hope they are worth the wait!

We have had so much rain the past few weeks here in Sydney and as you can imagine it is really causing problems with my outdoor sessions, most of them have had to be rescheduled. This gorgeous family however, lucked out and got a sunny morning, the only one in ages! So off to the beach we headed. These two lil girls are just so gorgeous and I would kill to have their skin! About every 6 months I take part in the Mums & Bubs Big Day Out hosted byt the Northies Hotel in Cronulla. It's a great morning out for all involved and there are some wonderful local businesses on display as well as prizes and giveaways. my long held dream of seeing Bon Jovi has finally come true!!! and it was so much more then I ever dreamed it would be, now I know I sound like a 16 year old in love with a rock star, but truly they just blew me away...my ears were ringing for two days and I am still singing their songs 24 hrs a day in my head! About half way through the concert, Jon & Richie came down into the crowd onto a small stage about 1m sq to sing three songs....now the best part of this was that it was right next to us! I mean only 2 metres away!!!!!! well you can imagine the teenage girlish screaming coming from us slightly older than 16 year old mums lol

Seriously though, the whole night was just amazing and I have been on a high all week! I only wish I could do it all again next week :)

tomorrow night I am finally going to get to see my all time favourite band, Bon Jovi!!!!!!!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am, this has been a long time coming. The last time they were in Australia, was in 2002 and Jeff & I were in Thailand on our honeymoon, I even tried to change the tickets to come back a day early to see them but no such luck. Anyway, less than 24 hours to go and I am there, with 4 girlfriends, we are going to have the most amazing night!!!! If I can sneak my camera in I will be sure to post a few pics, I'll be singing for days :)

Future Model In The Making

Last week I was lucky enough to stay for a few days with my friend and fellow photographer, Lisa Kelly. We had so much fun, lots of photography talk, good food, good wine and of course wonderful company! Now, her daughter Olivia is just gorgeous and was very very willing to model for me. And I can see why look at her!!!!! and she is just the sweetest lil thing too, my boys just loved her, as did I. Oh and she does have a son as well, who I didn't really get too many shots of, I am so used to my own boys, I was excited to have a co-operative model for once lol. Here are a few shots:

If you know my boys you would know how rare this is to get them together both paying attention and to get Jack hugging Alex is even more special. Triathlon Pink Kicks Off

The 20th of October 2007 will go down in history as the birth of Triathlon Pink. Just after 7.00am at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre 6 Pinkies under the age of 13 hit the water to mark the beginning of the 2007 Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink Series.

440 participants followed the junior members into the water as they completed one of the four Triathlon Pink distances.

Event Ambassador Fiona Falkiner had a great day completing her first ever triathlon as part of Event 4 whilst Ajay Rochester had a very entertaining finish to her day as she crossed the finish line with huge grin n Event 2.

Event organizers t3 Events were extremely excited with the turnout for the first ever Triathlon Pink Event. Event Coordinator Brett James couldn’t hide his pleasure with the day and what lays ahead for the Triathlon Pink brand “It was an awesome day. This was the most satisfying day of t3 Events short but eventful history. We knew that starting this series may be a risk but this turn out shows us that Triathlon Pink is a great event that will promote health, fitness and empowerment amongst the female community. With the support of our Pinkies we have now been able to raise just on $20,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and with more than two months to go for the series we are on our way to our goal of $50,000. Now for Melbourne!”

The Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink Series now moves onto Albert Park, Melbourne where more ladies will earn the title of Pinkie when they cross the finish line on 25 November 2007.

We headed down to the beach for this session, I have missed the beach sessions during winter. Well, this year has been such a great year for me so far. I had no idea how busy I would be but I loved every minute of it. You guys were just fantastic! I am so thankful for the wonderful people I met and the gorgeous children that I had the pleasure to work with. As a little thank you, I decided to run a contest......

Let me first say, WOW..... this was tough. I started trying to pick my favourites and ended up with waaaaaaaay too many to choose from. So I came up with a plan, it's not very scientific, but it's a plan none the less. I picked my favourite image from each session this year, popped them all in a box and asked my husband to draw out 13, my lucky number! lol We couldn't really go wrong. Now for the prizes:-

Last week, the boys and I had the pleasure of meeting up with some new friends. Kris & Belinda are both awesome photographers and I love their work. We had a great afternoon and I look forward to doing it again soon, well it may be a while till we see Belinda again as she will be heading off back to Florida! The boys had a great time playing with their beautiful girls. Sorry there's so many!

1 - Okay well 1st hands down is being a photographer. I have dreamed of this job since I was a little girl and now I am living my dream. And I truly LOVE it!
2 - working for other pro photography studios, I have been with two large studios in the past and learnt tons
3 - would be when I started a design apprenticeship. I loved this but unfortunately at the time it wasnt paying enough!
4 - real estate property manager. I did this for about 5 years and it was very challenging and frustrating but I enjoyed it at the time. No way could I ever do it again though

2. Four of my favourite local places

1 - Kurnell - its a local beach (well where Captain Cook first landed in Aus) and we can take the dog there and let him run free, he loves it and so do the boys
2 - Our local pub - its a great place to take the kids and have lunch/dinner with friends, very child friendly and the food is amazing
3 - Montien Thai at Cronulla LOVE their food
4 - My family room on a sunny Sunday afternoon, curled up in the sun reading the paper
